MILLENNIALS DON'T USE MONSTER.COM LIKE GEN-X DID: Millennials are an increasingly important segment of the global work force, but they came of age during the recession. Many are un- or under-employed. Many of those who do have jobs had to postpone their dreams and now, they’re bored in their current role. Monster sees an opportunity to connect Millennials with the jobs they dream of.
STRATEGY:
Project You takes The Quantified Self to the next level with Quantified Self Help. We created a digital campaign that helped millennials learn about themselves, and use that information to find a better job, breathing new life into Monster's promise to help people "Find Better”.
SOLUTION:
The more you understand your life, the more you can improve it—that’s the philosophy behind Project You, an interactive tool built to help people pinpoint areas in their professional life that needed a bit of TLC. Tools included: A Facebook tool that surfaced your weak connections to help you find new leads, a speech analyzer to help you with interviews, A smile workout simulator that gave you a personal career tip every time you smiled and finally a realtime topographical map of America based on #ihatemyjob and #ilovemyjob tweets. The underlying intelligence of the program was engineered through a collaboration of specialized psychologists designers, coders and UA experts. Some fun questions users had to answer to build their profile included: Are you intellectually challenged at work? How much is your social life worth? Did you know that morning sex will improve your focus on the job? Ultimately Project You helped millennials make sense of themselves and pointed them to a new job tailored to their interests.
We even discovered a spec campaign made for Project You from some devoted fans of the service.
